Creative Direction / Design / Animation / 2D / 3D
This is our second submission for Animography's "A word, a week" series. We chose the word "Humbled" and designed and animated this short story of a cocky card house builder, who quickly gets humbled after showing off his skills.

Mixing 2D and 3D
We're always looking to mix 2D and 3D in our work - and that includes in our work process. A lot of the time, we're switching from 2D to 3D and vice versa. In this case, we rendered out the 3D elements first, and then we took that in and played with the color palette by simply scribbling on top. We like that our work process is flexible and we're able to do what works according to each project.
The Importance of 2D
We love our 3D design, but it's so important to get the 2D sketches and colors in a good spot before diving into cinema 4D. So a lot of our process in done in 2D first – even thinking about the items that will eventually be modeled in 3D.
Short but Sweet
Even though this project was short in length, we still enjoy telling a funny story in the time we have you for. Creating something to make the viewer smile or brighten their day is always an added bonus.
